In addition to being a big old nerd geeking out on math and science, I also have an abiding passion for creative endeavors including drawing, painting, writing, and music. I love to blur the line between the arts and the sciences, and web development and design offers many opportunities to do so. Whether I'm drawing cartoons with my Wacom tablet or coding Mandelbrot-set based crypto algorithms in Python, or synthesizing VHDL to program my FPGA, I bring the same creative passion to work.

As an employee and coworker, I like to think I am an imaginative problem-solver, and a self-motivated and versatile producer. I grab small milestones, and take great satisfaction in achieving small victories that open doors to larger ones. In transitioning from print publishing to web development, I have found that the interupt-driven, detail- and deadline-oriented environment of newspaper production transfers well. A print producers's worst nightmare is printing many thousands of copies of a typo -- and a point of pride to rarely make those mistakes. One must work quickly and efficiently to bring a project to completion without sacrificing quality.

I am a senior in the University of New Mexico's Mathematics (Pure) program, minoring in Computer Science. I'm a long-time resident of Taos, New Mexico, where I live with my two teenage sons, two cats, and two birds.

This website was written in Python on the Django web app platform as a portal to my various endeavors. Enjoy!
